I have a 73 mustang conv with 14" tires. I want to add 15" magnums to the car but need to know the largest size tire to put on without causing any damage.
Thanks
Joe

You can run 15x7 all the way around with no problems. Try to go with a 4.25" backspacing and P225/60R15 tires.

WILL THE P225/60R15 CHANGE THE SPEEDO IF THE CAR CAME WITH E70-14 AND NOW YOU CHANGE TO THIS TIRE?

It should change the speedometer some. You can calculate with your gears and with the tire size and see if ford has a speedo gear that comes close to your calculation.
I am sure someone will jump in and give you more detail as to whatt I am saying or trying to say.

I JUST GOT THIS CAR 2 WEEKS AGO. I HAD A 73 MACK 1 WHEN I WAS 19 I AM NOW 41. I FOUND IT PARKED IN A HEATED GARAGE COVERED WITH A CANVUS CAR COVER. IT HAS BEEN PARKED FOR 20 YEARS. IT HAS 40,060 MILES IT IS ALL ORIDGINAL EXCEPT FOR WHEELS, TIRES AND MUFFLERS. OWNER DID NOT HAVE THE MAGNUM 500`S THAT CAME WITH THE CAR. (HE HAD SOLD THEM TO BUY THE ALUMINUM FINNED WHEELS THAT ARE ON THE CAR NOW) I WOULD LIKE TO REPLACE THEM BUT BEING THE CAR IS SO STOCK I WANT TO USE RETRO TIRES LIKE FIRESTONE WIDE OVALS. WOULD IT BE A MISTAKE TO PUT 60 SERIES INSTEAD OF 70 SERIES TIRES ON THIS CAR???
