just got a 2004 mustang gt and am trying to find some simple power upgrades...any suggestions

Your best bet is to start off with a set of pullies, and an exhaust. If you want more power(which you will) you should look into headers, x or h pipe and heads.

where's a good place to get a set of heads...i was looking at bbk for headers which have a decent price

bbk are good, but if you want real quality go with hooker headers, they're very good. A little pricey, but you wont regret it.

This is the number one thing to do. It will not give you any more hp, but it will improve the rate at which your car can accelerate at a lot better.

Second would be exhaust. LT's, high flow cat h-pipe and a good cat back.

Third would be pulleys and new short throw shifter.
