I have a 67 Gt (390 c.i.) with a 4 speed toploader. I want to upgrade to a Tremec TKO 5 speed. I have the center console in my car and I wanted to ask if anyone knows whether the shifter on the Tremec will come through the tunnel in the same place as the original shifter or will I have to do away with the center console which I'd rather not do. ANy help would be greatly appreciated and if anyone has suggestions on gear ratios I'd love to hear them. Thanks!!
