2007 GT500 style wheel on Fox

Hi,

Hope you can help. I live in Australia and have a 1988 GT Fox - its lowered 1.5" with KYB shocks (including the quad shocks). Question is will the 17 x 9 2007 GT500 style 4 lug wheel with a 275/40/17 fit under the rear guard without modification (can quad shock stay in place)? I plan to use the 245/45/17 on the front. Its just a long way to return parts if not right. Thanks in advance. Peter

I can't answer your clearance question, but aren't the wheels your asking about five lug?

Apparently they also do a 4 lug version - just the 2007 style - MU have them listed , I just want to know if there are problems/what are they/any solutions or hope of all hope they just bolt on. Its just to far to get involved in a return process. Spacers are illegal in Australia & I really don't want to start lipping or pumping out guards.

I've seen some pics on a web site for American Muscle wheels but no info with them and emails to a couple of companies just don't get replied to. I might just have to get a phone card and start calling. I just want to know if there are any issues and make the choice to take it on or look for a better alternative.

I thought some one out there would have worked through this and I was hoping to get all the answers before the test...

Peter,
those wheels will fit but to run the 275/40/17 tire you may have to remove the
quad shocks.

Thanks for your trouble. I will most likely place order in next few days for wheels.

Peter
