Question about Oil Pressure
Hello,
I have a recenlty restored 1966 Mustang with a 289 engine. I installed modern oil pressure and water temperature gauges. I've noticed that the oil pressure drops when the engine is at idle, and increases when the engine is accelerated. Is that normal? Thanks, Rafael Latorre |

Yes, that is normal
![]() It's good that you have those gauges and I recommend anyone with a with an older generation car to have them but they can be distracting. I put them in my "67 Skylark and was mental about always watching them especialy the temp gauge.
